Whether it's a hike in the woods or a game in our own back yard, a lot goes into making sure our pets stay happy and healthy! During this week-long camp, our campers will be introduced to different animal behaviors and training tips that will encourage a healthy relationship with our and other people's pets. Campers will have the opportunity to explore the shelter, learn from animal behaviorists, and interact with some of the animals as we explore the ins and outs of healthy and safe pet ownership.July 24-28
Do you want to work with animals? There are so many different types of animal careers that allow people to work with and help both domesticated and wild animals. This week we will explore the different animal careers that help make HSCA a community leader in animal care. Campers will hear stories and do activities surrounding careers focused in: animal behavior, wildlife rehabilitation, kennel management, veterinary medicine, and animal control. Our campers will work in and explore the shelter during this week long camp, participating in activities and games centered around the lives of the animals that find sanctuary at HSCA until they find their forever home.August 7-11
One of the main goals at HSCA is to ensure that animals adopted though our shelter find and stay in their perfect, forever home. During this week's camp, our campers will learn the ins and outs of basic animal care. Whether you have a rabbit, dog, cat, or small mammal all of our pets need and deserve the best possible care we can provide them. Through interactive games and activities, campers will learn how to care for an animal's physical and mental health.
