Book Sale

May 8,9,10, 11,—The Humane Society Calumet Area will host a book sale at the Shelter on Thursday, May 8 through Sunday, May 11. Join us for a special sneak peek on Wednesday May 7 from 2:00 to 4:30 for a donation of $5.00 per person. Book sale hours are from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Thursday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Bargains will be available in paperbacks, hardbacks, audio cassettes, video tapes, CDs and more. The Shelter is located at 421 45th Street in Munster. The shelter is now accepting donations. Those wishing to donate their gently used books can bring them to the HSCA. For more information please call (219)922-3811.

Craft Sale

The Humane Society Calumet Area will be having a sale for crafters. Thanks to a large donation of crafts and craft supplies we will be hosting a sale at the shelter on May 15, 16, 17 and 18. The hours of the sale will be 9:00 to 6:00 on the 15th and 9:00 to 4:00 on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Chip-a-Thon

The Humane Society Calumet Area is offering micro-chipping on May 27, 2008. The cost is $20.00 and includes registration in a national database. Appointments can be scheduled by calling 922-3811 ext. 301, walk-ins also welcome.

Take the Family Bowling

Help support the Humane Society Calumet Area while you bowl! Every Thursday, Stardust Bowl II in Merrillville, IN offers bowling for only $1 per game when you make a $2 donation. All donations will benefit the HSCA. Stardust Bowl II is located at 3925 E. Lincoln Highway in Merrillville, IN.

The Humane Society Calumet Area is looking for a few special businesses to join with the HSCA and become sponsors of their annual “Paws In The Park”. This is the 16th annual walk-a-thon and pet fair.
