While in the Shelter, PLEASE DO NOT TOUCH ANY OF THE ANIMALS! We want to eliminate the possibility of disease spreading from animal to animal.

If you wish to see one of the animals out of its cage, please ask a kennel aide for assistance.

Upon entering our shelter, please take time to notice all our animals. If you are interested in an animal, ask a kennel aide (in scrubs), a volunteer, or the reception desk for someone to assist you. For safety purposes, we ask that no more than two guests enter a bonding room at a time.

Next, after deciding on an animal, an adoption form must be filled out. We have a one (1) to three (3) business day approval period. YOU MUST BE 21 YEARS OLD TO ADOPT AN ANIMAL!

If approved, we will call you and set up a pickup time for you to come in and take your new pet home. If you are not approved, a brief explanation will be given for the denial.

Remember, our policy at this shelter is to spay and neuter ALL ANIMALS before they go home. With your help, we hope to be able to cut down on the unwanted pet population in this area.

Adoption Fees

Adoption fees defray the cost of vaccinations, spay/neuter, and other care while the animal is at the shelter. These costs include vaccinations, fecal exams, Heartworm tests, and Microchipping. Adoption fees are:

Dogs & Puppies

• Large Dogs (over 6 months) $100
• Small Dogs (over 6 months) $150
• Puppies (under 6 months) $150

Additional fees may apply:

• Rabies Vaccine $25
• Obedience Class $110 (Adopted from HSCA) $120 (not adopted from HSCA)
• Spay/Neuter Deposit $50 (Cash Only)

Cats & Kittens

• Adult Cats (over 6 months) $70
• Kittens (under 6 months) $100
• Colony Cats (for FIV Test) $80

• Feline Leukemia/FIV Test $25
