Finding loving new families for homeless animals is the main reason that the Humane Society Calumet Area is here. We cannot thank you enough for considering adopting rather than purchasing from a pet store or breeder.
With as much animal overpopulation that this world currently faces, buying from a breeder or pet store only adds to the problem. Both sources run off of "Supply and Demand" - The more people that want puppies, the more they produce.
Due to such overpopulation, our "supply" as a humane society is never-ending. We always have plenty of loving animals making their way to our shelter, without the need to go and produce more.
Come Visit
The shelter is open daily at 11am, except for Mondays. Tuesdays and Thursdays, we close at 6:30pm and the rest of the week at 4:30pm.
If you find an animal on our site that you are interested in, please feel free to email info@hscalumet.org for more information or simply come on in to meet the animal. Email is generally responded to within 24-48 hours.
